OUR JAMS

Our jam is an excellent choice for those wanting to gain the benefits of food with simple ingredients, while avoiding preservatives or artificial sweetener or colourants. Used in moderation, the low carbohydrate content can easily fit into any meal plan for those with chronic conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, or for those following many weight loss diets that limit calories and/or sugar content. The organic cane sugar has a lower glycemic index than refined sugars, which means it will have less effect on increasing one’s blood sugar levels. Limiting artificial sweeteners, found in many low-calorie jams, can be very helpful for those with irritable bowel syndrome.

The ingredients in our jam are suitable for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets, although the product is produced in a shared kitchen facility that also produces foods that may contain ingredients such as gluten, etcetera.

Storage

Please note we now stamp each jar with a suggested Best Before Date. This date reflects an 18 to 24 month shelf life from production date. Colour will fade over time, but the jam is still safe to eat so long as the jar has remained sealed. And remember - like the jar label says - once opened, store in fridge and consume within 2 weeks. Low sugar content means short fridge life. It's a trade off!
